Inspection & Test

Quality isn't something you inspect into a product after it's built.

Inspection & Test

It's something you build into every step of the manufacturing process. That said, rigorous inspection and testing provide essential verification that every assembly meets specifications and will perform reliably in its intended application. Our comprehensive quality assurance programme combines automated inspection technologies with skilled human verification and functional testing protocols tailored to each product's requirements. Every assembly that leaves our facility has been thoroughly examined, measured, and tested to ensure it meets IPC standards, customer specifications, and our own exacting quality requirements.

Multi-Layer Inspection Strategy

Catching defects early in the manufacturing process is always more efficient than finding them at final inspection. That's why we implement inspection at multiple stages throughout production. Incoming inspection verifies component quality and authenticity before parts ever enter the assembly process. Solder paste inspection after printing ensures proper volume and placement before component placement begins. Automated optical inspection (AOI) after component placement catches positioning errors before reflow soldering makes them permanent. Post-reflow AOI verifies solder joint quality on all visible connections. X-ray inspection reveals the hidden joints under BGA packages and other area-array devices where optical inspection can't reach. This layered approach creates multiple opportunities to catch and correct issues. It provides statistical process data that helps us continuously improve our processes. By the time an assembly reaches final inspection, we've already verified quality at every critical stage of manufacturing.

Functional Testing and Validation

Visual inspection confirms that an assembly is built correctly, but functional testing proves that it actually works. Our test engineering team develops custom test procedures for each product. These range from simple power-up and continuity checks to sophisticated automated test sequences that exercise every circuit and verify performance against detailed specifications. We can design and build custom test fixtures, develop automated test software, and create comprehensive test documentation that provides full traceability for every unit produced. In-circuit testing (ICT) can verify individual component values and catch assembly errors that might not be obvious during functional testing. Burn-in testing subjects assemblies to elevated temperature and voltage stress to precipitate early failures before products ship. Environmental testing validates performance across temperature ranges, humidity conditions, or vibration profiles. Whatever testing your product requires, we have the equipment, expertise, and dedication to quality that ensures assemblies leaving our facility will perform reliably in the field.

FAQs

Quality is embedded at every stage. We implement rigorous inspection protocols, real-time process monitoring, and validation checks throughout the manufacturing cycle, not just at the end.
We provide extensive testing capabilities including functional verification, electrical testing, and custom test protocols designed specifically for your product's requirements.
We regularly manufacture for highly regulated sectors where quality isn't negotiable, these demanding environments have shaped our processes and attention to detail.
Complete traceability is standard. We track every component and process step, creating a full audit trail from raw materials through to finished product.
