Jim Spence
Finance Director & Joint MDJim is our Finance Director, overseeing all financial operations and much more behind the scenes. Having been with the company since 1998, Jim brings over 40 years of electronics experience, starting from his teenage years. What he enjoys most about working here is the amazing team and the fact that no two days are ever the same. A proud achievement is creating opportunities and employing people, which continues to motivate him every day. Outside of work, he loves walking, cycling, exploring new places, and cooking. Fun fact: Jim almost became a canoe instructor and nearly played football for East Fife! When it comes to travel, he dreams of backpacking through remote destinations like rainforests, far from the usual tourist spots.David Weir
Technical DirectorDavid is our Technical Director, responsible for everything technical and beyond, except finance! Since joining the company in 1999, they’ve brought over 40 years of electronics expertise, having worked as a calibration engineer, test technician, PCB CAD designer, CEM production supervisor, quotations engineer, and now our Technical Director. David loves that no two days are ever the same and takes pride in pulling all of Key-Tech’s resources together to deliver complete solutions for customers. A standout achievement? Designing a dynamic flexi-circuit used inside a disk drive! Outside of work, he enjoys long-distance walking and listening to an eclectic mix of music and attending live gigs. Fun fact: David owns a piece of the moon and dreams of visiting it one day to stand on his very own spot!
